Hello, my name is Kevin Leach. Amongst other things I am a DJ.

With wedding discos, there are two extremes. There’s the one where the happy couple (or worse, the DJ) insist on hearing their own favourite music all evening. Then there’s the other where the playlist consists of cheesy ‘floorfillers’ from start to finish. I think that the service I provide is somewhere in the middle.

Of course, when it comes to choosing the music for a wedding, you can't please all of the people all of the time. But I'll try my best. I play songs that people like to dance to. And whilst I'm not trying to win any credibility awards, I do believe that good, well known songs don’t have to be cheesy.

Now I’m not saying that you should spend the evening without hearing any of your favourite songs being played...it’s your day after all. I make it my job to combine a mixture of your musical tastes with those of the rest of your guests.

I also feel there's a happy medium when it comes to use of the microphone. Whilst there's nothing worse than a DJ who likes the sound of his own voice, a friendly voice to welcome guests and make announcements can come in handy.
