broadcastKevin began his broadcasting career at commercial radio station Minster FM in York in 1996. He then went on to present on stations including Hallam FM, Sun FM, Yorkshire Coast Radio, Home 107.9, BFBS and Garrison Radio. After a spell presenting Traffic & Travel, Kevin went to work at BBC Radio Leeds where as well as travel news and the what's on guide, he presented and produced programmes and managed the digital production system. Kevin's next move was to London to work as a Studio Manager for BBC News, a technical role mixing the sound for Five Live, Radio 4 and World Service programmes. The job also involves driving and operating the outside broadcast vans for Radio News. He co-ordinated the radio element of BBC News & Sport on Tour in 2005 and 2006. Now based in Manchester, Kevin is freelance and working in a whole range of areas including BBC and independent television and radio. He regularly returns to London to provide cover as a Studio Manager. Kevin also acts as a consultant and facilitator for BBC Blast, BBC 21cc, The Tate Movie Project and Creative Partnerships. He also provides training in studio operation for BBC English Regions. Kevin is available for short or long term bookings for studio operation, outside broadcasts, digital editing, live events, presentation, staff training or educational projects.
