broadcastBased in Manchester, Kevin is freelance and works regularly for BBC Radio 5 Live as a Studio Director and as a Sound Engineer both in the studio and on Outside Broadcasts. He is a Tutor on the Radio Production course at the School of Sound Recording and provides training in studio operation for BBC English Regions. Kevin began his broadcasting career at commercial radio station Minster FM in York in 1996. He then went on to present on stations including Hallam FM, Sun FM, Yorkshire Coast Radio, Home 107.9, BFBS and Garrison Radio. After a spell presenting Traffic & Travel, Kevin went to work at BBC Radio Leeds where as well as travel news and the what's on guide, he presented and produced programmes and managed the digital production system. Kevin's next move was to London to work as a Studio Manager for BBC News, a technical role mixing the sound for 5 Live, Radio 4 and World Service programmes. The job also involves driving and operating the outside broadcast vans for Radio News. He co-ordinated the radio element of BBC News & Sport on Tour in 2005 and 2006.
